Verso is the dealers Michael J Grimes Fine Art Consultant Liverpool. Simon was born in Britain in 1958 the son of an Army officer. He obtained a Degree in Fine arts from the University of Leeds.He had already held a one man exhibition in Hong Kong when he was only 18. His work is collected by Royalty, Presidents, Museums, Art galleries both public and private and collectors world wide. He was the official Winter Olympics artist in 2002 and in 2007 was invited to create a series of official paintings depicting the life of Muhammed Ali. In 2000 he won the British Fine arts Trade Guild award.
Due to his own experience of cancer in 2005 Simon uses his art to support various causes such as the American Cancer Society and the Ronald Macdonald House charities. In this example we have a British limited Edition print before he emigrated to the USA. He became a US citizen in 2011. His style has loosened over the years and his early landscapes are quite different to the floral monotypes he is now known for.
